Description

Sweet almond oil is considered an all-purpose oil.  Its uses dates back to the ancient times when the Chinese & Indians utilized them to make traditional medicines and treat different skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

Sweet almond oil is loaded with natural antioxidants, oleic acid, omega-9 fatty acids, linoleic acid, and vitamin E, almond oil is obtained from the almond tree fruit (in dried form).

Origin: Spain

INCI: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil

Plant Part Obtained From: Nuts

Color: Pale yellow to deep golden yellow liquid.

Aromatic Description: Almond oil has a mild aroma with a medium texture, it is great for dry, Sensitive, Acne-Prone skin. High in Oleic Acid

Absorption: Almond oil absorbs into skin at an average speed, It has a medium viscosity, non-greasy and leaves a slight oil feel on skin.

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed, Unrefined

Consistency: Moderate Viscosity. It is a smooth, golden yellow-colored oil that retains the characteristic aroma and flavor of almonds.

 

Common Uses/Benefits

Sweet Almond Carrier Oil is used in natural skin-care products, and by massage therapists. Its chemical components make it a perfect option for regenerating fresh skin cells, locking the natural moisture, rejuvenating the skin, and helping the individuals with very dry skin.

While its antioxidant properties protect the skin from the harmful UV rays, other concentrations like linoleic & oleic acid help relieve soreness and ease irritated skin. It directly works on the collagen layers and reduces the aging signs. Thereby, leaving the skin smooth. Since it is hypoallergenic and non-greasy, it makes it a wonderful choice for massages (particularly for infants).Its vitamin E content repairs dull and damaged hair.

 

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight).
